Doctors in the US state of Texas have made a real breakthrough in medicine, having transplanted parts of the skull to the patient.
Specialists from the Anderson Cancer Center and the Methodist Houston Hospital jointly transplanted to a fifty-five year old patient an impressive portion of the cranium. Jim Boysen was treated for a malignant brain tumor and overcame it, however, radiation therapy destroyed a large part of the skull patient, so he needed an extremely complex and earlier bone and scalp transplant from dead the donor.
