Photo from open sources For many years now, experts have been trying invent a simple and durable wind power installation. Existing models with rotating blades are considered quite far from ideal: they make noise, harm fauna, and besides, quickly fail due to being in continuous motion mechanisms.
Specialists from Spain became the authors of an unusual startup, dedicated to wind energy. European inventors came up with an effective wind generator, completely devoid of any blades. Such an idea will seem fantastic to many, because while there is only one way to turn wind energy into electricity, but do not rush to conclusions.
The creators of the project suggest using as windmills shaking pillars. Gusts of wind will set them in motion, thanks to which installations will be able to generate electricity. IN special magnets will be installed in the turbines of such a windmill, providing oscillations of the column even with the smallest in the wind. Vibration through the generator will be converted to electricity.
The whole charm of such a station is that the energy it produces will be almost forty percent cheaper electricity generated by classic windmills. Last have complex and often failing blades that make energy expensive. However, old wind turbines are still no one going to landfill because they still produce thirty percent more electricity than hypothetical Spanish pillars.
Pillar-shaped wind turbines will have a simple design and compact design allowing to install them much closer to each other than traditional windmills. Reportedly that next year the Spaniards will demonstrate to the world a model, having a height of twelve and a half meters. Further planned to launch innovative wind farms in serial production.
