Italian company Lamborghini demonstrated its first hybrid car – Sián. The main feature of this model is that in it the electric motor runs on supercapacitors, not batteries.

Sián has a V12 gasoline engine with 785 horsepower. An additional electric motor that adds torque has a power of 34 hp The maximum speed of the car is 350 km / h. FROM places gaining speed up to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds.

Thanks to the electric motor, Sián is an absolute leader in weight / power ratio of all V12 cars of the same manufacturer.

Regarding the motor power circuit, heavy Sián batteries have been replaced with supercapacitors. Such a decision allows you to instantly store energy, transmit it to an electric motor, and with every braking recharge again. According to inventors, this system is three times more effective than with using battery.

Sián limited production is limited to 63 vehicles, which are already sold out by the company.

It turns out that in Russia there was already an attempt to implement the above an approach. Many probably remember the sensational project “E-mobile”, which for unknown reasons was sold by billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov for 1 euro. It is possible the Russian market was then not yet ready for such technologies.

Earlier ESOREITER talked about the “time bomb” from Tesla company.
