Two women from the US state of Pennsylvania after 17 years friendships have discovered that they are half-sisters. About it reports UPI.
Ashley Thomas, 31, and Toya Wimberley, 29 (Toya Wimberly) met at school and have since been inseparable. 15 years ago, Thomas found out that she was raised by a foster father. Who was her biological father, only her mother could say but she died without ever giving his name.
Reveal the secret helped her friend. She saw on Facebook photos of Wimberly’s father and recognized him as a man who once met with his mother Thomas. After that, friends began to suspect that they could have a common father. A DNA test confirmed their hunch.
The news shocked the man. According to him, he knew nothing about the child who was born and grew up without him. “I hurt by this, but at the same time happy that this beautiful and a successful girl was my daughter, “he admitted to reporters.
Thomas and Wimberly believe that the discovery explains a lot. “So that’s why we are so alike, that’s why we look so alike, here why we were inseparable from the sixth grade, “- wrote on Facebook Wimberly
