UN experts suggest raising the price of water

UN experts suggest raising the price of waterPhoto from Open Sources According to United Nations Experts Nations, humanity today faces yet another huge problem – soon on Earth will be sorely missed fresh water.

Scientists predict that in the next fifteen years this problem will become the most acute in the world, since water shortages by the year 2030 can reach sixty percent. This is what was said in New Delhi the other day, UN experts.

It turns out that we have long exuded all the underground reserves of fresh water, and we’re not only unable to predict precipitation, but not yet able to collect water pouring from heaven. At the same time, the population of the planet is growing catastrophically (last year an increase of eighty million people), by the year 2050 at least nine billion people will live on Earth.

If today nothing is changed in terms of consumption of fresh water, then already in 2020 its deficit will become so noticeable that global warming, as a problem, will go by the wayside. And in 2030 year – half the world’s population will already suffer from lack of fresh water.

As UN experts emphasized, humanity has two ways solutions to this problem: make full use of wastewater, i.e. bring their filtration to perfection. And the second is to increase the price of water in all countries without exception. It will teach people more to economically spend this greatest asset of our Earth.

But it’s even better to do both, and in general to change our attitude to nature and its resources, including living fresh water.
