According to Maya Ishmuratova (professor at the Department of Botany, Head of the laboratory), the created unit will begin to work in many ways and in particular to carry out microclonal propagation of very rare, ornamental and resource plants.
Using the asexual, vegetative method of reproduction, you can create an unlimited number of genetic clones of any plant, says Ishmuratova. This will save especially valuable and especially the rarest species of plants listed, for example, in the Red Book Bashkiria, Russia, the world.
Over time, cloning will help replicate useful and necessary types of plants that will go to local shops and gardens population.
The laboratory has a special climatic phytocamera, allowing you to create the optimal mode for the growth of the necessary plants with great (just fantastic) accuracy.
