In the United States on May 9 of this year, a nuclear disaster occurred. PUREX Hanford Center, which can be compared with Kyshtym accident at the Soviet chemical plant “Mayak” in September 1957 year.

Some researchers suggest that the reason was poor-quality cooling of radioactive waste at the complex PUREX, whose bunkers have not been visited for almost half a century.
