On the one hand, the Internet scares us more and more, as if to 2050 due to plastic trash completely broken ecological system of the oceans, and therefore the world as a whole, and on the other, in reality, no matter what measures the authorities take, ecologists, green patrols, people like littering on beaches, so far then and litter.
A man lives one day, he sees neither perspective nor threat from the future, and the moral emptiness of most of the people is not allows society as a whole to relate to the world in an appropriate way – reasonable and careful. It’s a pity…
This is what the Indian sculptor was thinking about. Janardhan Havanje, who drew attention to the fact that even a bunch of garbage cans on the beach do not solve this problem: people keep throwing plastic anywhere but trash containers remain half empty. And then he’s for his own money, having spent almost 650 US dollars on this project, he created from iron twigs amazing yoshi fish – about three in size two and a half meters (see photo), which on one of Indian beaches have replaced garbage containers.
Logically it seemed that several small urns more effective than one huge. But this is only if this a large garbage collection is just as “gray and boring.” All the highlight Yoshi is that she “feeds” on plastic bottles, bags and other waste, even has a sign that says: “Yoshi loves plastic, please feed her. “And the children are happy “feed” this funny fish. For a day in the womb, Yoshi Fish is all beach garbage, even a little more space remains. Thereafter the fish is taken away and facilitated, and in the morning it returns to the sea already empty and hungry.
This simple game so captivated the children that they became the main garbage collectors on the beach, and that one magic wand, suddenly acquired a clean and well-groomed appearance. Oh yes Yoshi!
It’s a pity, even in India itself, such fish as Yoshi Fish – all for now one, not to mention the whole world. However, the very idea of creating unusual garbage collection bins deserves attention and approval. If there was still material support for such talented artists like Janardhan Havanje …
